THE REASON FOR THIS NETWORKING SITE

Dear Family Members,
I have set this site up for two main reasons, to find members of the Petersen family so I can learn about this side of my family, and to discuss the mineral rights on land in McKenzie County, North Dakota, bequeathed to us by Sigvardt Petersen. This includes negotiating oil leases of the aforementioned land. I will be posting literature I have, and that I find, so that everyone can be better informed about our situation, and the possibilities and options we may have in negotiating oil leases. Remember, these oil companies are not negotiating or making offers that are in our best interest. We may want to consolidate our interests in to a family consortium and then we can negotiate with the oil companies from a position of strength, rather than the weak and fractured position we are presently in.

Please post information and comments you have, and tell other family members about this site. It is a great reason for us all to get together, and to get to know each other!
